The Julie Burgess will be open for inspection on the following dates and times during the Australian Masters Games. A chance for visitors to the region to have a closer look at this beautiful former crayfishing ketch moored at Reg Hope Park East Devonport and hear the story from her volunteers!
On each Sunday in the October school holidays between 10.30am-12pm and 1.30pm-3pm our volunteer Bill will be demonstrating netting, splices and knots.... come in and join the fun!

We bid farewell to the Windeward Bound and wish them a safe voyage to George Town. The Julie Burgess is now on the slip for her annual maintenance and survey requirements, once off the slip she will be laid up for the colder months. The crew are looking forward to the season starting again in October.
Relax and enjoy the ambiance of the Bass Strait Maritime Centre and music inspired by the golden era of Jazz with the Philéas Fogg Trio. Andreana Micanova (Macedonia) on piano, Dan Seddon (UK) on bass and Philippe Castermane (France) on drums, will perform jazz standards from the 50s, 60s as well as more recent compositions. Bookings essential!
