Port Cygnet Voyage Cancelled

Unfortunately the Julie Burgess will no longer be able to make the voyage to Port Cygnet to help celebrate their 150th Anniversary of the Regatta due to maintenance. The crew are naturally disappointed but hope the celebrations go well.

Wynyard Probus club members have been in today and had a great time, all very impressed with the Centre and also many commenting about the photo on the front of the Advocate today - Julie Burgess having a 'whale' of a time when they came across whales frolicking out the mouth of the Mersey River.

Where is the Julie Burgess?

The Julie Burgess will be making her way onto the Mersey Slipway at Woods Point today where her hull will be cleaned and minor maintenance undertaken. Regular sailings on the Julie Burgess will commence on Sunday November 10. December is filling fast so please contact the Bass Strait Maritime Centre on (03) 6424 7100 to make a booking.

Winter Break....

The Julie Burgess has made her last sailing for this season. A BIG THANK YOU to our great crew and band of volunteers who have done a great job in our first season of commercial operations. She is now being laid up for the next two months for routine maintenance and some modifications.
